KAPPA PI NOTES AND MEETING

INFORMATION

END OF THE YEAR NOTES

This semester has been quite a busy one, but somehow we found time for some

great events and Kappa Pi had a hand in many of them. Members helped with

many campus activities, including EarthFest and the Senior Seminar Exhibit in the

Falk Gallery. We also had a great Book-Making workshop with great memories

and even better books!

*SPCA Mural Project - Due to a lack of time and a low number of preliminary

sketches the murals will need to be pushed back until the Fall semester 2008.

Some members will be working on the murals over the summer, and if anyone is in

town, feel free to contact Courtney Forget (Courtney.Forget@yahoo.com) for

information.

*Awards Ceremony and Dr. Alexick Retrospective- This was one of the

highlights of our Academic year in the department. Thank you for showing support

for fellow classmates and our distinguished Professors, especially Dr. Alexick.

*Instituting Service Hours- A system is in the works for next semester that will

enact service hours for each individual active member of Kappa Pi. This means

that if you are a current undergraduate you will be required to participate in an as

yet undetermined number of  monthly meetings and/or activities which Kappa Pi

takes part in. Failure to do so will result in actions such as more service hours and

possible demotion to Associate Status, even removal from the fraternity.
